Live Webinar: Tuesday, September 22nd, from 1-2pm ET
Join us for a Linked Senior webinar featuring Katy Abbott, PhD, MGS, of our Preference Based Living team! Dr. Abbott will describe the evidenced-based assessment instrument called the Preferences for Everyday Living Inventory (PELI) and how it can be used to combat the growing isolation experienced by older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. She will also discuss the importance of gathering actionable data when engaging residents, both during the pandemic and beyond, and how a new and innovative tool called the Care Preference Assessment of Satisfaction (ComPASS) can be used to achieve that. This presentation will focus on the first steps of person-centered care: understanding who the residents are, learning how to get data about their current preferences in a digital and actionable manner and how to use that information to build individualized plans.
Participants who join will:
- Understand the purpose behind the PELI/ComPASS project and why preferences matter
- Learn about the power of using the digital ComPASS tool and see how it can be implemented
- Describe the promise of these tools by understanding their benefit for staff and residents
*All attendees will receive 1-hour of NAB, NCCAP and NCCDP CEU credits for attending the live webinar.
